Open Enrollment

What is open enrollment?

Open enrollment is your yearly chance to adjust your benefits for the upcoming plan year. Changes made during this time take effect on Jan. 1 of the following year. Outside of this period, changes are only allowed within 60 days of a qualifying status change event.

Open Enrollment Key Dates

  • Benefits & Wellness Fair – Stop by the Evans Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Friday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to earn about available plans and wellness offerings. Click here to view the floor map.
  • Open Enrollment Starts – Oct. 16, 8 a.m. EST
  • Open Enrollment Ends – Submit enrollment changes by Nov. 3, 6 p.m. EST
  • Benefits Changes Take Effect – Jan. 1, 2024

Review your current benefits

Review your current benefits and ensure they meet your needs. You can view your elections by going to myUFL > Main Menu > My Self Service > Benefits > Benefits Summary.

Update your contact information address in ONE.UF

Update your address in ONE.UF and confirm your emergency contact information. You can find your contact information by selecting the Profile icon and then clicking on the View & Update Profile Information link.

Have your People First ID (PFID) and password ready

To locate your PFID, login to myUFL and navigate to: Main Menu > My Self Service > Benefits > PFID & Beneficiary Info. To reset your password, log onto the People First website and follow the “Forgot Your Password” instructions.

Update your life insurance beneficiaries

Submit Enrollment Changes by Nov. 3

Open enrollment closes Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. EST so make sure you have submitted all changes by that date.
