Health Plans
- State of Florida Plans*
- GatorCare Premium***State of Florida benefits are available to employees who work 30 hours per week or more (.75 FTE) on average over the defined measurement period.**UF Select & GatorCare benefits are available to employees who work 20 hours per week or more (.50 FTE). ). GatorCare Premium health insurance monthly premiums are paid by UF College of Medicine for eligible Housestaff & Residents and their dependents enrolled in the GatorCare Premium plan.
Dental Plans

Vision Plans

Life Insurance

**UF Select & GatorCare benefits are available to employees who work 20 hours per week or more (.50 FTE). All eligible Housestaff & Residents are auto-enrolled into the UF College of Medicine paid Life, ADD and Disability Insurance Plans through The Standard upon hire.
Retirement
Employees are automatically enrolled in the following plan:
- FICA Alternative Plan: A defined contribution plan whereby participants contribute 7.50% of their wages and decide how to allocate the money in their account among the available investment funds.
Additional plans you may add to your retirement:
- Voluntary 457 Deferred Compensation Plan: Retirement savings plan that allows employees to defer receiving a portion of earnings until retirement.
- 403(B) Plans: Intended to supplement retirement income from a state plan or act as a stand-alone plan.
- UF Tax-Deferred 403(B) Plan: Contributions and earnings are allowed to grow tax-deferred until the money is taxed as income when withdrawn from the plan.
- UF After-Tax Roth 403(B) Plan: Participants pay taxes as contributions are made and qualified distributions are tax-free.

GatorCare Premium health insurance monthly premiums are paid by UF College of Medicine for eligible Adjunct Clinical Post-Doc Associates and their dependents enrolled in the GatorCare Premium plan.
