Lapse in summer deductions for nine- and 10-month employees does not affect coverage

Employees with nine- and 10-month appointments generally do not receive a paycheck during the summer break but continue to have insurance coverage during these months. Those with summer appointments will not have deductions taken for the UFSelect, GatorCare and/or State plans since premiums were deducted during the double deduction period (February through May).

The last deductions will be taken on the April 26 paycheck for UF Select and GatorCare plans and on the May 10 paycheck for State plans. Normal deductions resume in September once these employees return from their summer work breaks.

If you have questions about your insurance deductions, please contact UFHR Benefits at (352) 392-2477 or benefits@ufl.edu.
