If you are eligible for the DROP program, follow these steps:
Vested members who are within 20 years of their normal retirement date may elect to take an early retirement and have their benefit reduced by 5% for each year between their age and their normal retirement age. Refer to the “Early Retirement” section of the FRS Pension Plan Member Handbook for more information. Early retirees will complete the same steps as listed in the “Service Retirement” section above.
